"I successfully had one side of a handbag chain strap repaired here a few months ago and, unfortunately, the other side snapped so I returned to get that repaired (return custom, not a complaint). When I arrived, I was told me they never did the repair to my bag. When I explained they did and I now needed the other side repairing, I was told I had it repaired elsewhere. When I said I didn’t and could show them the card transaction I was told “that could be for anything”. Finally, after bizarrely accusing me of lying about having it previously repaired there, I was told they couldn’t repair it and it wasn’t worth their time. Insulted by their bizzzare behaviour and annoyed, I said “I wish I’d had known as I wouldn’t have bothered getting it repaired earlier in the year or would have had the other side reinforced at the same time”. In response, the guy behind the counter THREW a tenner at me. Insulted, I refused to take it and said “I just wanted my bag repairing” before leaving in tears. I can’t believe the attitude of the man behind the counter towards a repeat customer. I don’t know if he was having a bad day and took it out on me but I’ll never go there again after being accused of lying and insulted like that. The whole experience was bizarre and unnecessary and he could have just said “sorry we don’t do bag repairs like that anymore.” There was no need to tell me I didn't have it previously repaired there and accuse me of lying about having it previously repaired there and going to the length of telling me the card transaction for my last bag repair could have been for something else. Why would I lie about something like that?? I wasn’t asking for a refund and wanted another repair doing. I've never experienced anything like it. I've included a screengrab of my card transaction for the previous repair, which shows the shop address, and the previous repair and snapped chain the other side. I've also found the ticket for the repair after emptying my purse receipts."
